Wolf sculpt terracotta WIP by Jorik-Spiritwolves Wolf sculpt terracotta WIP by Jorik-Spiritwolves
My wolf sculpture made form terracotta clay
It's still wet here, because I don't know what will happen if it dries XD
This type of clay isn't baked but just dries by itself

It's my first try since... I don't know what grade ;p
But it was fun and I think for a first try it looks okay ^^

I thought so too
Though I need to fix the front legs and tail ^^;
They have a crack/gap now they are dried, so I'll add some new clay in the gap

Though with your talent I'm sure it didn't look bad either ;)
I do need to fix my cute wolfie though... it has some cracks that almost sever the legs from the body
I'm going to try and fix that with some new clay

Your welcome ^^

and yes it did, I was 9 or 10 I think, it was supposed to be a dog sitting, but it looked more like a stuffed sock with a face T_T

me neither XD
Just for the fun of it.
One of my grandfathers supposedly drew a lot and sculpted when he could only use 1 arm.
But I've never got the chance to get to know him =/

Yeah I can imagine it being fun for a little bit :3

That's cool! I've heard of people who paint with only they're feet, or mouth, it seems scultping would be harder though, and thats neat that your related to someone like that O.o

probably just for a little bit ;3
I can be quite impulsive XD

Wow, haven't heard about that yet. but amazing what people can do if they really want to!
And yes it is but it's a shame I didn't get to know him
It would've been amazing to see him drawing something. But he passed away when my dad was in his early 20's

oAo It's so cute! I love its fur omg, so beautiful and fluffy looking ;w; *reaches through screen*

...M-magic drying clay? Sounds useful XD I remember in year seven when we made clay bugs... with mine, one of its wings exploded in the kiln XD darn air pockets. I'm awful with clay even now XD

Is that a nativity set in the background? XD

Thank you ^^ I'm rather happy with it so far
haha, more like natural clay. It's terracotta clay. It doesn't become as hard when not baked, but it should be hard enough when you wait 24 hours
at least that's what the description said XD

I'm not good with clay either though
It's my first time trying it again in... I don't know how many years and I always sucked at it before ;p
But now I'm rather pleased with the outcome so far :D

XD It's magic to me okay. owo I like its colour, so much better than grey clay XD

Ahaha it's better than all my attempts, I'll tell you that now XD the best clay piece I ever made was of some freaking rocks. =w= I'm proud of it though LOL

D'awwww, that looks absolutely adorable! I really like the chunky fur, it gives it a very rustic, appearance, almost like it's hand chiseled rather than sculpted. Great job!

Thank you! ^^
Yes it's a bit chunky
It was my first time scultping with clay since I was a child, so I had no clue how to start out and what tools to use
I mostly used my hobby-knife, which it why it's a bit chunky XD
When it's dry I might try to paint it :)
